Scope of the Role
The Area Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving business performance across the retail branches of a leading NBFC—currently managing 3 branches, with expansion plans to 6 branches in the near future.The role carries complete P&L responsibility for the assigned Region/Area (ROTN) and covers the full spectrum of activities including Sales, Operations, Credit, and Collections.The portfolio comprises MSME Loans (₹2 lakh to ₹50 lakh ticket size), Equipment Loans, and Used Car Loans. The Area Development Manager is expected to lead, strategize, and execute business growth initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, portfolio quality, and profitability across all branches
Job Description
Drive sales of retail asset products (MSME Loans , Equipment loans and Auto loans .) within the assigned area.
Achieve monthly and quarterly disbursement and revenue targets.
Develop and implement strategies to expand market share and customer base.
Monitor team productivity and ensure consistent performance improvement.
Identify and tap new business opportunities through cross-selling and upselling.
Identify, appoint, and onboard new DSAs (Direct Selling Agents) and other sales partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with DSAs to ensure quality sourcing.
Conduct periodic training and performance reviews for DSA channels.
Ensure DSAs adhere to company compliance, documentation, and process guidelines.
Drive partner engagement through incentive programs and regular communication.
Ensure smooth processing of loan applications in coordination with the operations team.
Monitor TAT (Turn-Around Time) and ensure service excellence.
Ensure all pre- and post-disbursement documentation is complete and compliant.
Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks.
Coordinate with the credit team for timely appraisal and approval of cases.
Ensure high-quality sourcing by monitoring delinquency and rejection trends.
Participate in credit committee discussions for high-value proposals.
Maintain portfolio hygiene and ensure adherence to credit policy norms.
Monitor portfolio performance and ensure minimal delinquency.
Collaborate with the collections team to achieve collection efficiency targets.
Identify early warning signals and take corrective actions to minimize NPAs.
Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Lead and motivate the sales and support teams within the area.
Set clear performance goals and monitor team productivity.
Conduct regular training sessions to upgrade product and process knowledge.
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and internal audit guidelines.
Maintain complete documentation for all business transactions.
Drive a culture of integrity, transparency, and compliance across all functions.
