Relationship Manager | Wholesale Lending | A Leading Bank

Scope of the Role

A Wholesale Lending RM manages and grows a portfolio of corporate clients (NBFCs, MFIs, or large corporates) by offering specialized lending solutions, such as working capital or term loans. They are responsible for sourcing new business, conducting credit appraisals, managing portfolio risk, and ensuring compliance. Evaluate the financial risk associated with working capital solutions, ensuring that the proposed strategies align with both the client's needs and the bank's risk tolerance. Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions and regulatory changes that may impact clients' working capital needs. Actively seek opportunities to expand the bank's working capital portfolio by acquiring new clients and promoting relevant financial products.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities & KRAs * Client Acquisition: Achieve targets for acquiring new corporate clients and expanding the client base. * Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed revenue targets through effective client relationship management and cross-selling of products. * Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, understanding their business needs and providing customized banking solutions. * Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate sector to expand the client portfolio. * Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessment for potential and existing clients, ensuring compliance with the bank's credit policies. * Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional banking products and services to existing clients. * Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements in all client interactions and transactions. * Credit Quality: Ensure high-quality credit assessments and maintain a low level of non-performing assets (NPAs). * Market Penetration: Increase market share by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. * Compliance Adherence: Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in all client dealings.

Ideal Candidates

Looking for candidates with hands-on experience in Large / Wholesale Banking Corporate clients and providing complete lending solutions for their business enhancement.

Key Requirements:

  • 3–10 years of experience in Corporate/Wholesale Banking with exposure to large corporates/MNC's.
  • Experience or exposure to MNC, startup funding, venture capital (VC) ecosystem, and related banking solutions.
  • Strong financial and credit analysis skills.
  • Proven business development and relationship management track record.
  • Familiarity with banking products: working capital, term loans, trade services, cash management, treasury.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualification: MBA/PGDM (Finance) or CA/CFA preferred.
Willingness to travel and work across locations.
