Scope of the Role

Responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing a portfolio of financial institution clients which include- NBFCs, HFCs, MFIs and institutions from capital markets like Mutual Funds etc. RM must handle financial analysis, client acquisition, risk management, and strategic relationship management.

Job Description

1. Key Responsibilities: * Manages a portfolio of clients like banks, insurance companies, and asset managers, fostering high-value relationships. • Develop and foster strategic partnerships with key decision-makers like CEOs, CFOs, Treasury teams etc to facilitate deeper product penetration and profitability • Conduct regular client visits / meetings to understand business needs and identify potential opportunities • Writing CAMs on new and existing limits and prompt submission to credit team • Negotiation of deal structure and commercials in line with banks growth objectives and internal policies • Ability to resolve customer issues by having an excellent relationship with internal stake holders like credit teams, operations, IT , legal etc • Pitch / cross sell existing / potential offering other verticals of bank like retail, transaction banking, treasury and trade • Maintain and manage relationship with product partners and garnering cross sell business through them by providing them with adequate support- Trade, Treasury,

2. Business Development & Revenue Generation: • Drive origination of new business across products like Assets and Liabilities from FIG client segment-NBFC, HFCs, MFIs and Mutual Funds etc • Prepare and execute account plans to achieve revenue targets • Cross-sell the bank's full suite of financial products and services. • Put up regular call reports with actionable on visits to clients on weekly and quarterly basis within the timelines permitted • Strategic planning for each target and achievement

3. Credit & Risk Management : • Conduct financial analysis, risk assessment, and due diligence on Fl clients • Prepare credit proposals, monitor portfolio performance, and maintain healthy asset quality. • Ensure timely renewals, limit reviews, and compliance with internal credit policies • Understanding and knowledge of various regulatory circulars and guidelines from time to time

4. Transaction Execution: • Coordinate with product, credit, legal, compliance, and operations teams to finalize deal structures • Support negotiation of term sheets and documentation for lending and capital market transactions • Ensure smooth execution and post-transaction monitoring • Prompt monitoring and compliance of post disbursal compliance as per the sangtion letter

5. Market Intelligence & Strategy: Track industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitor activities within the FI sector. • Identify new market opportunities, emerging segments, and partnership models • Provide insights to management for strategic decision-making

6. Compliance & Governance: Ensure full compliance with internal policies, KYC/AML guidelines, and local regulatory requirements Understand and ensure compliance of internal and regulatory compliance requirements for completing transactions, account opening etc Support audit processes and maintain accurate documentation

Ideal Candidates

Looking for candidates with a deep understanding of financial institution clients relationship management preferably in a bank, corporate banking, financial markets or credit. Proven track record in business development and portfolio management in financial institution segment/ corporate banking/ Capital Markets. Keeping track of developments happening in field of financial markets, banking which could affect the client and bank's business.
