Scope of the Role
The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing the Large & Global entities spread across South India to manage their Cash Flow, Liquidity, and Financial Risk. He is also responsible for optimizing banking relationships, developing investment and financing strategies, and ensuring the company meets its short- and long-term financial obligations. Key duties also involve financial forecasting, risk management, compliance with policies and regulations, and reporting to senior management.
Job Description
· Cash and liquidity management: Ensure the company has sufficient cash for daily operations, optimize cash flow, and manage daily treasury activities.
· Financial risk management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, such as foreign exchange, interest rate, and credit risk.
· Banking and debt management: Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions, coordinate bank accounts, and manage the company's debt portfolio.
· Investment and funding: Evaluate investment opportunities to maximize returns on surplus cash and arrange for necessary financing.
· Forecasting and analysis: Develop cash flow forecasts, monitor budgets, and provide strategic financial insights and reports to senior management.
· Compliance and policy: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and assist in the creation and adherence to treasury policies.
· Process and technology: Streamline treasury operations using technology and implement best practices, including global cash pooling and intercompany funding.
· Team leadership: Manage and mentor the treasury staff, guiding them in day-to-day performance and professional development.
