Scope of the Role
The Zonal Head is responsible for developing business strategies & managing the team to ensure financial growth and operational excellence across multiple states. Responsible for managing and overseeing the Regional Heads and their Cluster Heads, who will be responsible for managing 10 - 12 branches, to develop market-specific initiatives, manage the key relationships, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Job Description
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth * P&L Ownership: Drive overall P&L for assets and liabilities across the zone. * Performance Metrics: Achieve key financial goals, including deposits (CASA), loan growth, and revenue targets. * Strategic Planning: Develop and execute regional business strategies that align with Federal Bank's overall objectives. * Market Development: Identify new business opportunities and competitive initiatives to expand market share.
2. Branch Operations & Operational Excellence * Operational Oversight: Ensure operational soundness and compliance with RBI guidelines, KYC, and AML norms across all branches. * Digital Adoption: Increase the penetration of digital products, alternate business channels, and mobile/internet banking usage. * Service Quality: Ensure high-quality customer service and resolution of customer complaints.
3. Credit Management & Risk Mitigation * Asset Quality: Monitor and manage non-performing assets (NPA) and lead recovery efforts. * Credit Risk Monitoring: Review credit risks, monitor early mortality accounts, and oversee branch-level credit documentation.
4. Team Leadership & Talent Management * Performance Management: Set targets and review the performance of Branch Managers, Relationship Managers (Retail/Corporate/MSME), and sales teams. * Coaching: Develop a high-performing team through coaching and mentoring.
