Scope of the Role
The Area Manager – Startups will drive growth and engagement within startup ecosystem portfolio. The role involves managing existing relationships and acquiring new startups to enhance the bank’s share across business float, lending, API revenue, BIN sponsorships, and other digital banking products.

Key Responsibilities
•Manage and grow the existing startup portfolio across Current Accounts, Escrow, API Banking, BIN Sponsorships, and UPI Collect.
•Identify opportunities to increase wallet share and deepen engagement through cross-sell and upsell.
•Acquire new startups by engaging with ecosystem partners, accelerators, and VCs.
•Achieve business and revenue targets across CA float, API income, lending value, and various revenue line items for the bank.
Act as the primary relationship owner for key startup clients ensuring smooth operations and service delivery.
•Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Treasury, Credit, Compliance, Operations, Legal) to structure and deliver tailored solutions.
•Work closely with respective Zonal and Cluster Heads on all parameters of customer acquisition, retention, and wallet share enhancement.
Key Skills
•Strong understanding of the startup and fintech ecosystem.
•Proven experience in client acquisition and portfolio management.
•Knowledge of digital banking products (APIs, BIN, Escrow, UPI).
•Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
•Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
