Scope of the Role
Responsible for driving sales and growth of Working Capital Loans in your designated area. Manage a team of Relationship Managers and their team in sourcing loans and handling existing customer service and renewals. You will be a creative problem solver, finding solutions to help the RM's achieve their goals.
Job Description
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Relationship Managers, ensuring high performance and effective client coverage.
- Oversee the management of the collective portfolio of corporate clients, identify growth opportunities, and drive business development initiatives across the team.
- Guide team members in understanding client requirements, advising on solutions, and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Review and provide feedback on credit appraisal notes, financial and credit analyses, forecasts, and financial modelling prepared by the team. Ensure quality and compliance across all submissions.
- Direct the acquisition of New to Bank (NTB) clients to meet annual targets, supporting team members in achieving their goals.
- Promote cross-selling of banking products including treasury solutions, CMS & Escrow products, Liability products, debt syndication, corporate advisory, investment banking, and corporate finance.
- Maintain rigorous documentation, client communication standards, process compliance, and credit hygiene across the team’s activities.
- Monitor and manage portfolio credit quality, proactively reporting any credit deterioration or Early Warning Signals (EWS) to senior management.
- Foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams such as credit, trade, and operations, ensuring seamless transaction flow and strong support for Relationship Managers.
- Support team members in their professional development and skill enhancement.
Ideal Candidates
Looking for candidates with relevant experience in large corporate lending and team management. Applicant must have a strong understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow Statements). Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail, are the skills required.
