Scope of the Role
The Credit Analyst is to work under the National Credit Hub vertical of the esteemed bank, to handle the Underwriting of credit proposals and the preparation of the credit approval memorandum for SME / Commercial Banking segment.
Job Description
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Underwriting of credit proposals and preparation of credit approval memorandum
- Financial assessment and ratio analysis
- Due Diligence and compliance checks
- Client/unit visits to understand the business model and fund requirements
- Internal credit risk rating
- Presenting cases to respective sanctioning committees for decision
- Issuance of sanction orders / decision letters
- Maintenance of credit hygiene and data quality in allocated portfolio
- Handling post disbursal functions like amendments to sanction terms, specific permissions etc.
- Monitoring of portfolio to identify early warning signals and adopting prompt corrective action.
- Communicating with stakeholders across verticals to ensure robust credit portfolio
- Maintenance of asset quality and Turn Around Time
Ideal Candidates
Looking for a Credit Analyst with good exposure to assessing funding requirements in the SME / Commercial banking segment.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proficient in written and oral communication
- Well aware of general economic trends, policies and resultant impact
- Knowledge of products in working capital, hedging products, export finance and project term loan assessment
- Knowledge of financial statement mapping and analysis of financial ratios
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Problem‑solving approach and positive attitude
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics and other related fields
- Professional qualifications like CA / CS / CFA / ICWA etc. are preferred but not mandatory
