Scope of the Role

The Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery, enhancement, and governance of the Bank’s mobile application, ensuring it becomes a leading digital channel for customer engagement. The role will focus on driving mobile-first innovations, ensuring a seamless and secure customer experience, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital banking solutions. We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to spearhead the transformation of our mobile banking platform. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, comprehensive expertise in agile methodologies, and a distinguished track record in overseeing medium to large-scale digital transformation initiatives within the digital banking sector. This individual should excel in fostering collaboration across diverse internal and external stakeholders while seamlessly coordinating efforts with a dynamic, cross-functional PMO team.

Job Description

• Lead the strategic enhancement of the mobile banking platform, ensuring all project objectives align with organizational goals and customer expectations.

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

• Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and ensure the achievement of critical project milestones.

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns proactively.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project success while developing contingency plans.

• Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices throughout all project phases.

• Champion an agile and adaptive work environment, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and project outcomes, implementing changes as necessary to optimize results.

• Support the prioritization of features and tasks.

• Monitor progress and assist in ensuring timelines are met.


Key Areas of Responsibility

  1. Project & Program Delivery

    • Lead the planning, execution, and rollout of new features and upgrades on the mobile app.

    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.

    • Define scope, success metrics, and monitor progress against strategic goals.

  2. Customer Experience & Journey Design

    • Drive a mobile-first approach to banking services, ensuring intuitive navigation and usability.

    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to build engaging and customer-friendly digital journeys.

    • Integrate personalized experiences based on customer insights and analytics.

  3. Stakeholder Management

    • Act as the bridge between business, technology, operations, and compliance teams.

    • Gather requirements from product owners and translate them into technical deliverables.

    • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities.

  4. Technology & Innovation

    • Work with development teams to ensure robust, scalable, and secure mobile app architecture.

    • Explore integration opportunities with fintechs, APIs, and ecosystem partners.

    • Benchmark mobile app features against market leaders to maintain competitiveness.

  5. Risk, Compliance & Security

    • Ensure the app complies with regulatory, data privacy, and cybersecurity requirements.

    • Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor throughout the project lifecycle.

  6. Performance & Analytics

    • Use analytics to track adoption, usage patterns, customer feedback, and service performance.

    • Continuously optimize features based on customer needs and business priorities.

Ideal Candidates

Looking for candidates with 4–5 years' experience in managing medium to large-scale digital transformation projects, preferably within the digital banking domain. Experience working as part of a PMO team is preferred, and prior experience in managing agile pods is also required.

Skills required: Postgraduate or Bachelor's in Business Administration, Computer Science, IT, or related field with at least 50% marks.

• Advanced knowledge of agile methodology and project management principles.

• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, MS Project) and documentation.

• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and team management skills.

• Excellent time management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Knowledge of digital banking platforms and technologies.
