Scope of the Role

As the Zonal Audit Head for Trade Finance Audit at a Leading Bank, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of trade finance operations across multiple zones. To manage a large team of Auditors and their Team Leaders. Your role will involve overseeing the Trade Finance Audit process, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective solutions.

Job Description

1. Responsible for overseeing the trade finance operations of a leading bank across multiple zones.
2.  Manages a team of auditors to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
3. Conducts regular audits of trade finance transactions to identify any potential risks or discrepancies.
4. Develops and implements audit plans to ensure thorough coverage of all trade finance activities.
5. Collaborates with other departments, such as risk management and compliance, to address any issues identified during audits.
6.  Provides guidance and training to trade finance staff on best practices and compliance requirements.
7.  Monitors industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure the bank's trade finance operations remain up-to-date and compliant.
8.  Prepares audit reports and presents findings to senior management and regulatory bodies.
9.  Works closely with the bank's trade finance clients to address any concerns or issues related to their transactions.
10. Conducts investigations into any suspected fraudulent activities within the trade finance department.
11.  Implements and maintains internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of trade finance operations.
12. Collaborates with other zonal audit heads to share best practices and ensure consistency in audit processes across the bank.
